Your Coach...

Full name Victoria but call me Tor!  I'm a Coach with a background in brand and business development, strategy, and design thinking.

If you’re not familiar with design thinking, it’s a really effective and fun approach to product development and problem-solving.  And there’s nothing I love more than helping my clients solve a problem!

Before I launched my coaching business, my earlier career was focused on specialising in helping brands expand into new business areas to better reach and connect with their customers.

I started at The Coca-Cola Company working in brand extension for a complex global organisation and over the years I went on to successfully develop lifestyle, charity and entertainment brands, focusing on brand extension, strategy and new business opportunities.

Brands I have worked on as a brand extension expert

I loved the challenge and variety of those roles and most of all working with so many different people across multiple sectors and countries.

During that time, I was lucky enough to experience coaching and mentoring from both sides.  In fact, coaching skills inspired my way of managing people, leading teams and my approach to commercial partnerships.  Seeing the real impact and change coaching made in the workplace and the world inspired me to train to be a coach.

I loved my time training, I felt like I'd found my calling.   Working with my clients was energising, inspiring, and fulfilling.  Ultimately I decided to make the huge change from a 20-year career as a corporate employee to starting up my own coaching business!  That decision was both intimidating and exciting and I'm so happy and grateful that I made it.

Through my love of learning I’ve studied and worked with many different approaches/methods both for business development and coaching.  Starting Enso Coaching gave me the chance to bring together all of those learnings and experiences in unique ways and piece them together in bespoke ways to work with each client.

Coaching helped me design a work life and business I love and because of that I’m here to help you do the same!  I'll help you to design a work life that not only supports your career and business goals, but means you get to enjoy your whole life too.

Get to know me

I enjoy opportunites to be analytical and be creative, I’m happiest when I have a balance of both.

Why is it called Enso coaching?

Collection of my drawn ensos.jpg

The Enso is a symbol from Japanese calligraphy and is made using just a single brushstroke in time with a breath that creates an unclosed or closed circle.

The symbol has many interpretations but really the true meaning is unique to each individual who paints it.

I identify strongest with the interpretation that the Enso circle can be seen to symbolise harmonious co-operation, acceptance of oneself, the pursuit of personal development and self-improvement.  For me this captures the journey of coaching.

Many people practise creating an enso on a daily basis.  I’m drawn to this small consistent mindful practice as it mirrors my belief that it’s small things, done regularly, that have the greatest impact on our lives overall.

I draw enso symbols when I want to become present, calm and focused and find this practice very satisfying and rejuvenating.
